They argue that the U.S.-led world order, despite its flaws, has been a cornerstone of global stability, prosperity, and individual freedom. The author then delves into the benefits of U.S. global leadership, highlighting its role in preventing wars, maintaining open sea-lanes, curbing nuclear proliferation, fostering economic growth, and promoting democracy. They also address the risks of a world without a strong U.S. commitment to allies, rules, and norms, including the potential for increased aggression and conflict.
